gawd  Bery,  thank you  so much,  havent laffed so much in ages this has really brightened my day up,  thank you so  much for sharing it with me ,  Mick
It is early evening on a cold sunday evening, as I sit here in my home made office, with a smile on my face but tears in my heart. I have just spent the most enjoyable five hours I can remember, reading a wonderful heartwarming [but also heartbreaking] life story.
Beryl, you are one of the most gifted writers I have ever known, and at 59 I have read quite a considerable amount. Your writing is so natural that as I read I was there beside you with the young cubs; I saw Oscar carrying out his many attacks; I saw every one of you as you lived a life that any boy or girl of this age would not enjoy let alone understand.
I enjoyed reading every word of your stores Beryl, and I am not ashamed to say I had tears in my eyes when your beloved father died.
I could say so much more but anything I could say would not reflect truly the effect your story had on me, so all I can say, is thank you for a very special Sunday evenings reading. I will return to your pages whenever I get one of those days that I feel "why me" as they will make me realise that life, with all its ups and downs, is a wonderful place.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHAT A STORY TELLER YOU ARE BERYL.  I COULD NOT STOP READING THEM TODAY UNTIL I HAD READ EVERY ONE OF THEM.  YOU NEED TO HAVE THESE STORIES PUBLISHED AND I WILL BUY A COPY OR TWO.   SOME OF YOUR LIFE REMINDED ME OF MY OWN CHILDHOOD IN A LITTLE TOWN OF MEMPHIS, NEBRASKA.   I THINK I WOULD RATHER HAVE BEEN RAISED IN WALES.  IS THAT WHERE YOU STILL LIVE BERYL?
I AM SO SORRY THAT YOUR HUSBAND DIDN'T LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO MEET HIS GRANDCHILDREN BUT I AM GLAD THAT Y0U HAVE THEM. I THINK YOU TOLD ME IN AN EMAIL THAT YOUR HUSBAND PASSED AWAY LAST YEAR.  IS THAT CORRECT BERYL.    WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED 52 YEARS THIS FEB 6 OF 2006 AND WE HAVE 11 GRANDCHILDREN AND 3 GREAT GRANDSONS, PARKER, BRENDAN AND MASON, PARKERS LITTLE BROTHER.  THEY ARE ALL SO NEAT AND WE LOVE EACH OF THEM.  THREE OF OUR GRANDCHILDREN ARE MARRIED NOW.   SARA OUR FIRSTBORN GRANDCHILD HAS PARKER AND MASON,   DOUGLAS OUR SECONB0RN GRANDCHILD HAS BRENDAN AND ZACHARY JUST GOT MARRIED TO DANIELLE ON JAN 21 06.  THEY ARE A SWEET YOUNG COUPLE AND HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING I HAVE EVER WITNESSED AND VERY SCRIPTURAL TOO.
MY PRINTER DOES NOT WORK RIGHT NOW AND I WOULD LOVE TO PRINT ALL OF THESE STORIES OF YOUR LIFE.  IS THERE ANY WAY YOU COULD PRINT IT ALL FOR ME AND SEND IT TO ME AND I WILL PAY YOU WHATEVER YOU TELL ME TO SEND TO YOU.  GOD BLESS YOU NOW AND ALWAYS,   OUR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS ARE ALWAYS WITH YOU.  LOVE AND PRAYERS,    VERNA AND HAROLD J. Comments:I feel very priveleged to read stories about a tough yet very happy upbringing. These values have been instilled in us all because Beryl is my beloved aunty, my mam's eldest sister. There are more stories that can only be told in beryl's way. I love my aunty, I was her favourite, she took me on my first holiday abroad (and i got tipsy!!) and I spent massive parts of my childhood staying with and growing up with my Aunty Beryl. I want my aunty to tell the bedroom story!!! Love you always Julian
