In Memory of Aberfan
Do moutains move mam?
I've heard that they do,
Do mountains move Mam?
Hey,mam i'm talking to you,
Yes, little Dia,
I heard what you said,
Come eat your supper,
And get off to bed,
Do moutains move mam?
Our dad said they do,
Are mole hills baby mountains Mam?
Our dad says they're not,
Listen Mam, i'm talking to you,
Cos, if they can move mam,
I'll flatten the lot,
Come little Dai,
Get up those stairs,
And say "God Bless all those babies",
When you say your prayers.
................................................
When the autumn sun is shining,
And the leaves are turning brown,
I Like to walk the mountains,
And leave behind the town,
I look down on the valley,
The beauty is sublime,
There is no other season,
Quite like autumn time.

The old man sits in his rocking chair,
With wrinkled skin and snow white hair,
The flickering fire, dying low,
He dreams of days so long ago,
He hears a sweet voice in his ear,
The voice of someone he holds dear,,
He's just a boy of three,
In the same old chair, on his mammy's knee,
She sings to him a lullabye,
He sheds a tear and breathes a sigh,
The fire dies, and so does he,
But, rocking on his mammy's knee.

I wander o'er the mountains, and I own all I see,
All the joys of nature, grow there in harmony,
A solomn oak tree standing on a bed of soft green moss,
To describe the other sights i see, my mind is at a loss,
The ferns like tarnished gold, brush against my knees,
And leaves of many colours, float gently from the trees.
So come then, now it's summer
Walk these hills wilth me,
All the joys of nature,
Are there for you to see.
